TWOMEY QUALIFIES FOR LAST DAY OF WORLD CUP SHOW JUMPING FINAL

THOUGH incurring eight faults in tonight's (Saturday) second leg of the Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final at Lyon in France, Ireland's Billy Twomey and Sue Davies's mare Tinka's Serenade are still guaranteed a slot in Easter Monday's first leg of the competition's last rounds.

Finishing eighth after Friday's speed class, the Irish combination stands in equal 17th position on the 38-strong leaderboard after tonight's round. The top 30 riders qualify for Monday's first round of the final competition, with the 20 best-placed riders going through to the last round, where the winner will be decided.

HSI ANNOUNCES NEW LEVEL 2 COACHES

HORSE Sport Ireland (HSI) Level 2 candidates completed their final assessments earlier this week at Ravensdale Equestrian Centre, Dundalk and Lullymore Equestrian Centre, Rathangan, Co. Kildare.

ISH STUDBOOK SHOWJUMPING SERIES 2014

The first leg of the Irish Sport Horse Studbook Showjumping Series 2014 will take place at Louth County Show, which runs from 26th to 27th April. Riders should note that entries for all ISH SJ classes are on a pre-entry basis and must be made through the Showjumping Ireland offices. No other form of entry will be accepted. Please ensure your entries are made with SJI before 4pm on Thursday 24th April. No late entries will be accepted. Full criteria for the 2014 Series can be viewed here.
